Garni, Geghard,Parajanov museum Breakfast in the hotel. Visit to the monastery complex Geghard. Geghard is also famous for its sweet gata and a wide variety of sweets that the villagers offer at the foot of the Geghard monastery and it’s simply impossible to refuse them. Visit tothe pagantemple of the Sun and the Fortress of Garni. Garni is the only fully restored architectural monument of the pagan and Hellenistic period in Armenia. Symphony of Stones Lunch in Garni/Gechard. There is no tour in Armenia without Armenian lavash. It’s time to try Armenian lavash, to participate in the process of baking lavash in tonir, to feel the unique smell of freshly baked bread, or to cook shish kebab and barbeque in tonir. Visit to the Tsitsernakaberd Genocide Memorial, Genocide Museum. 12.00Lunch in Yerevan Transfer to Khor Virap monastery (in Armenian “deep hole”). Khor Virap is an eternal symbol of Armenia. It is located less than a kilometer from Turkish border. From the monastery of Khor Virap opens the best view of the biblical mountain Ararat. Visit to Areni Cave. One of the most valuable findsin Areni Cave-1 is the oldest winery, which shows the existence of wine and winemaking in Armenia 6000 years ago. Transfer to the monastery of Noravank. Dinner Transfer to ZoratsKarer (Armenian Stonehenge/Karahunge). Not far from the city of Sisian, on the mountain plateau at an altitude of 1770 meters, there are 222 huge solid stone monoliths, from 1.5 to 2.8 meters in height, weighing from 1.5 to 8.5 tons with smooth through holes.
